Rudder and Stern - Sea Mack Wreck, Crow Point, Saunton Sands
Free UK delivery included
Two sections of the Sea Mack wreck lie broken apart on the tidal sand at Crow Point, North Devon, their faded ochre and weathered grey timbers catching the low afternoon sun. In the foreground, fragments of rudder and planking rest half-buried in the sand, cast in long, sharp shadow. The wreck's once-bright paintwork lies bleached and peeling against a wide, wind-streaked sky.
This North Devon coastal painting captures the slow scattering of a single vessel across the beach over time, each broken piece a quiet still life within the wider scene.
One of a series of original oil and pastel painting prints celebrating the North Devon coastline through depictions of the Sea Mack wreck at Crow Point, on the south end of Saunton Sands.
Fine art coastal reproduction printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag to preserve the original detail.
Supplied unframed as standard. Framed prints are available on request. Please get in touch.
