Sue Mitchell has been painting professionally for several decades since she began taking on portrait commissions as a teenager.
Sue has exhibited across Manchester, Lancaster, the Lake District and North Devon, as well as at national level, including at the Royal Watercolour Society.
Italy has long been a source of inspiration for Sue's work, and she has returned many times over the years to paint and sketch the canals, bridges, and carnival traditions of Venice, a body of work now available as our series of etching prints. More recently, her attention has turned to the beautiful coastline and villages of Devon. Recent works include a series of coastal paintings, observing the changing seasons through depictions of the Sea Mack wreck at the southern end of Saunton Sands.
